Stripes, STL & Leopard Scarf Giveaway!!

Monday again.  I’m alive after the half marathon yesterday.  I’ll do a recap on it tomorrow, and today I’ll tell yall about the first day we got to St. Louis.  Don’t forget to vote for me to become Wallis’ first US Ambassador if you don’t mind.  The contest will be over in 35 hours and it’s been a tight race!  That means in 35 more hours, I will hopefully be a little less annoying.  = )

I’m sure yall saw the millions of pictures on Instagram, so yall know I went to STL this past weekend with Meredith and Lora to run my first half marathon!  I will tell yall that we all finished, and I’ll do a recap on the half tomorrow.  We left at the buttcrack of dawn Saturday morning just to hang with these cool chicks (and run.)  I keep telling them we would have come without the running, I promise.  We ate at Fountain on the Locust when we got there.  I would absolutely recommend it!  Very good and unique food, and amazing ice cream, brownies and fudge!  What’s better than eating ice cream and brownies, meeting blogger friends IRL.  Mel was exactly as I imagined (minus the Southern accent.)  She is so cool, laid back, gorgeous and so, so sweet!  She always motivates me to get my butt up and workout once I read her blog post for the day and see all her IG photos.  Holly is no big Holly.  She is beautiful inside and out.  Very down to earth and funny, and genuinely sweet.  I won my first sponsor spot from her just a short month after blogging and still owe her big time.  Now I owe her for pizza too.  = )  Ashley was just hilarious!  You were sure to be laughing and having a good time as long as she was around.  And she kept us running for beer.  You can’t ask for much more than that.  = )  I had a wardrobe malfunction in the picture that Hubby Jack was in, so sorry to leave him out in the photos, but we did get to meet him too and from what I heard it seems like apparently some stranger running the half marathon actually recognized him as the Hubby Jack.  There went that ego.  Maybe they should buy the model home next to Mel for his ego if Ashley doesn’t mind.  Just kidding.  Seriously, he was funny and I’m so happy that we finally got to meet everyone in person, and I can’t wait to do it again.  Hubby Jack also did my blog design, and who couldn’t love that gorgeous rainbow logo?  That’s exactly what I thought, so check him out if you’re in the market for a new design.  I already knew Lora and Meredith, and just feel even closer to them after this weekend.  When are we going out for mexican food girls?

This is us later that night at Mel’s gorgeous house.  I am coveting her backporch right now as we speak.  Mel and Holly ordered lots of awesome pizza for us from Imo’s.  I love thin crust pizza, so I was in carb heaven.  Laura (who doesn’t blog) was there also.  I was so happy to meet this other Laura who always gets to go eat sushi with Mel (jealous.)  = )

I’ll do more of a recap tomorrow, but I’ll go ahead and get on to the giveaway winners and today’s new giveaway.

Today’s giveaway is for the perfect leopard infinity scarf.  I love infinity scarves, and we all know that leopard print goes with everything!!  The scarf is nice and lightweight to be worn year-round!  It is $14.99, but Evie J. is running a special now for 60% off all their scarves!!!  So…if you need instant gratifcation, you can enter the promo code scarfnation at checkout to get the leopard infinity scarf for $6!!!  Yeah, I alredy how crazy that sounds.  The giveaway will end this Friday, April 12 at 7:00pm CST.

  1. I voted today, of course! And I love all the pics and updates from this weekend! So proud of all of yall for finishing that hilly half. Can't wait to hear the rest of the recap 🙂

  2. Way to go n your first half!! I'm excited to hear your recap! I'm running my first on May 5th and am so nervous! I am doing it mainly to lose baby weight, so don't feel athletic and like I fit in with the "running crowd"!! Ugh!! Lets hope I can make my goal of 2 1/2 hours!!
And, I love that scarf! Being up here in Canada it would help keep me warm!! 🙂

  3. I am SO in love with your J.Crew popover! Both necklaces look awesome with it. And those booties are SO fun. Can't wait to read the 1/2 update tomorrow! (and I hope I win that scarf!!)

  4. I love me some good ol' Mexican food! It sounds like to me after a half marathon that it would be well deserved. Congratulations! I love the scarf it is so pretty and I am loving animal print these days! Thank you for the chance to win!

    1. In my opinion, yes. I wear a 6 in both and they work great. ; ) you might be able to size down one size in this one since it doesn't button all the way up like the Blythe. I usually get a 6 so the buttons don't gap though. ; ) I might have been able to get away with a 4 in this one but got a 6 just to be safe.
