Today I’m teaming up with Amy from Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins to show 2 different ways to wear braids.  With documenting our personal style, the focus of our blog posts tend to be mainly on clothing, but we wanted to do something just a little different this time.  We wanted to show how you can wear braids with most any outfit.  I decided to wear an edgier outfit with my braided hairstyle, and Amy wore a girlier outfit with her braided hairstyle.  Doesn’t she look adorable?!  Make sure you stop by her blog to check out her look.  I chose to style an edgier look because I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone some.  That is one of the best things I’ve gained from blogging (aside from meeting all the sweet ladies I have!)  I wanted to wear an outfit where I love every single piece but may not normally wear them all together at once.  I also had quite a time trying to figure out what to do with my hair now that I’m missing 10 inches.  I tried a couple different things and failed miserably.  What do you think about our braided hairstyles?  Do you like the edgy look?  Any braided hairstyle suggestions for my shorter hair?

I want to introduce two of my sponsors for July.  First up is Kelsey from Ladies in Navy.  Kelsey is a West Coast based style blogger inspired by stripes, anything nautical and family heirloom jewelry.  She tries to cultivate affordable, personal style and is not afraid to remix her closet!  You’ll catch her often blogging about food, wine, and her cat, Archer.  She has been blogging since May 2012 and has loved making friends and developing her style in this blogging adventure.  Please take a moment to stop by and say hello to Kelsey at Ladies in Navy.
Next up is Jules from Je Ne Sais Quoi Jules.  I met Jules back in the spring through Instagram and have loved her sweet and fun personality ever since (and that floppy hat in her picture!)  She is a thirty something girl from Kentucky trying to get fit & healthy while dealing with the chaos of everyday life, and documenting it along the way.  She loves to try new recipes, new workouts & to try & keep up with fashion trends.  Her dream is to move to a beachfront property & own a small boutique (take me with you!)  She loves music, the outdoors, to be poolside, good company and a good glass of wine.  Please stop by and say hello to Jules from Je Ne Sais Quoi if you get the chance.  = )
Linking up with Bre, Sharon, Bethany, Tara and Agi.
