Thanks for stopping by for the Day to Night Series! Every two weeks I will pick a different item and a different blogger. One person will style it more casually for day, and the other will dress it up for night. This week the item is a red blazer. Kenid from
Kiki Styles 101 wore her red blazer a little dressier by pairing it with a fun printed skirt, a sleek clutch, a crop top and a chunky statement necklace. Make sure you stop by
Kenid’s blog to see her outfit details. I wore my red blazer a little dressier by pairing it with black faux leather leggings, a fun printed tee and a bright orange clutch. This is about as casual as I get (besides my Nike shorts and flip flops!) This is another one of those outfits where a lot of my items were bought off of eBay, including the Bebe leggings and the Zara heels.
I only have one picture to share, but I had a great time in Nashville this weekend. I only ended up going for a day, but I feel like I got a lot accomplished in that one day. First I met up with my friend
Brittany Fuson (pictured.) We had a great time catching up, and I can tell you that her new
2014 planners will be any day now! Yes, I’m counting down! After that, I did some shopping at
Elaine Turner, and my favorite picks were
these amazing booties and
this gorgeous suede bag. After that I headed to
Ann Taylor for their #ChicMakeover event. I went section by section in the entire store picking out my favorite pieces and styling them. Which pieces did I take home?
This amazing skirt and
this beautiful blouse. Side note, I just found out today that I won the Ann Taylor #ChicMakeover contest for a $500 Ann Taylor gift card and a makeover at my favorite salon here in Memphis,
Capelli. Day made!!! = ) Sorry, but that did warrant extra explanation points. After
Ann Taylor, I hit up the new
H&M store and ended up with a faux leather biker jacket. (not online, but
this one is similar) I have had one like this on my wish list for a while, so I was excited to finally find one in the perfect length, and for only $40 after my 20% coupon! We had lunch at
55 South in Franklin, TN, and I recommend the wedge salad with grilled shrimp. It was so good, and had tons of avocado in it. I hope everyone is having a great week, and I will see you tomorrow with a special What I Wore to Work post.
