Merry Christmas everyone!  We made it back from the casinos yesterday afternoon with a little more money in our pocket than what we left with.  Last night was my sister’s birthday dinner celebration, and we also decided to open gifts with my parents and my grandma while we were there.  Our second Christmas dinner was cancelled since everyone was sick.  = (  My little sister turned 26.  That doesn’t seem right though, because that would mean I’m 30, and I only feel about 24.  Where did the time go?  My mom cooked spaghetti and asparagus for dinner, and she even made homemade baked apples.  They were wonderful, and I plan to try to make them myself soon.  After dinner, Shane opened his gift from my mom and was excited to finally get a Keurig.  On the way out to their house, he was actually saying he wished he had a Keurig so he could have some caffiene.  It worked out perfectly, and now I can get my hot chocolate fix too.  My dad and grandma always give us cash.  It may not be fun, but it is always nice to have to go towards bills.  = )  Both of my nephews were there by surprise, so I was happy to see them, but I didn’t bring their gifts with me since I didn’t know they would be there.  I kept trying to explain to a 5 year old that he will be happy come Christmas day when he still has my gift to open.  Since we don’t have a tree this year (they’re so expensive! If you hear of any good after Christmas deals, let me know), we had to snap a few pictures underneath my mom’s beautiful tree.  When we got home last night, I opened a couple of Shane’s gifts to find clothes and a beautiful gold toggle braclet.  He opened my gifts from him that included a J.Crew gift card (so he can actually pick out his own clothes) and a new The North Face jacket.  I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and get to celebrate it with friends and family.  See you tomorrow!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, which is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:11
