RetailMeNot Fashion Challenge

I have been using RetailMeNot for over 5 years, so I was so excited when they asked me to share a holiday look for their Holiday Fashion Challenge with you today! Since I use them most everyday, it was only natural that I would be so excited to share the site with you!With the holidays right around the corner, it can get so expensive to find a new outfit to wear to parties. This is why I love buying pieces that can easily be worn multiple ways, instead of just buying a fancy holiday dress that can only be worn once or twice a year. In leiu of all the typcial red dresses, I wanted to put together an outfit that would be great for a Christmas party with friends. It is a little more casual since it’s a party with friends, but it is still fun and trendy. The entire outfit is made up of beautiful jewel tones such as cobalt, burgundy and teal. It is season appropriate, but most of these pieces could actually be remixed and be worn year-round which will stretch your budget even further!   The first thing I look for when buying an outfit is whether it is on sale or whether I can find a coupon for it through RetailMeNot.  The second thing I look for when buying almost any item is the versatility of that item. Can I wear it most of the year? Can I easily dress it up or down? Can I wear it to work and wear it out? These are all very important questions to ask when trying to stay within your budget but still have a fabulous and versatile wardrobe.  The beautiful skirt is a deep burgundy lace print that screams holiday party! It can easily be paired with a black velvet halter and statement jewelry for a dressier party also. The blue silk sweatshirt was the first piece I purchased when putting together this outfit. I can see wearing it so many ways, including with black leggings, a fur vest and booties. I fell in the love with the beaufiul floral print on this teal blouse, but I didn’t want it to take away from the beautiful skirt. I decided to try something different, so I layered it under my other blouse and then just rolled up the sleeves so you could just see a pop of color underneath. The last piece I purchased to go with this outfit was the suede pumps. I had been wanting some for a while, and the price tag on these was perfect, especially when paired with the additional RetailMeNot coupon.
