We had such a great time this weekend!  Shane’s party was just perfect.  We had lots of friends and family come, and oh my goodness, I think that was the best cake I have ever eaten.  One of my friends made it.  You can see Shane’s birthday cake and Spike’s birthday cupcake from Three Dog Bakery here on Instagram.  We actually ended up having only a little bit of food left because people were here from 2:00 to 10:00 so of course we had to eat again for dinner.  Did anyone have any fun plans over the weekend?
I have been gravitating towards casual and comfortable spring styles lately, and I have always loved dresses – especially maxis!  They are perfect to throw on and instantly look put together.  It was also perfect to wear to work last week when I could not seem to drag myself out of bed until the last minute.   = )  I absolutely love blue and pink together so I paired it with one of my favorite necklaces and my new pink clutch.  This was also the first week I wore sandals in 2014!  I could use to this.  I hope for many more gorgeous sandal wearing days.  And because I cannot resist a good countdown, 4 more weeks of grad school!

  1. Oh man, I have yet to find a good maxi dress to settle on this season. I love the long sleeves on this one- more versatile. Those colors, too! Go on girl, with your radiant orchid!!

  2. I have just started getting into long skirts and maxi dresses. I love where this one hits your waist perfectly and the longer length sleeves. Will have to check out bliss boutique online store. Where by chance do you find these boutiques? I liked another one of your outfits with the longer pink midi skirt which you got from themodestlady.com

    Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
