Day to Night Series – Anchor Tee

Wear the Paint Tee c/o // Gap Maternity Shorts (non-maternity here, sale here) // Boob Cardigan c/o // Lily Slippers c/o // Nixon Watch c/o // Old Navy Fedora (splurge, love this one on sale!)

Thanks for stopping by for the Day to Night Series! Every two weeks I will pick a different item to style with a different blogger. One person will style it more casually for day, and the other will dress it up for night. This week the item is an anchor tee. I completely stepped out of my comfort zone and styled this Wear the Paint tee pretty casually compared to how I normally like to dress (but pregnancy has slowed down my dressing up somewhat!)  I paired it with some boyfriend shorts, a cardigan, some flats and a fedora.  This outfit actually ended up being super comfortable and one of my favorites.  I was worried it wouldn’t work or wouldn’t feel like “me”, but I am just expanding exactly what fits into that “me” category.  Make sure you check out Wear the Paint.  All of their tees are hand painted, and they even have baby shirts.  How adorable is this one?!  I think Leighton needs it for sure!  Rosalyn from My Fancy Pants styled her beautiful sequin anchor top with denim, sandals, a striped blazer and a polka dot clutch.  I love her print mixing!  This outfit is perfectly pulled together with the blazer.  It would be great for casual Friday, for a date night or most anything between.  It could easily fit the bill for dressy or casual wear.  Make sure you stop by Rosalyn’s blog to see her outfit details.  What do you think of my super casual look?  Don’t you just love anchor prints?!

  1. If you can put an anchor on it, I'm pretty much going to wear it, lol. In fact I just wore anchors yesterday. I would probably make an outfit a week that includes anchors and not wear the same thing twice. Hence the reason this year's Harbortown T was my favorite, lol

  2. Oh, I love the comment, "expanding your wardrobe to what is the new you. I found that true when I had kids and stopped working, I didn't necessarily change my overall style, but I had to switch up what was comfortable and what worked for my new lifestyle;) Also, can you tell me what brand your fringed, wedge boots were a couple of weeks back. They were amazing!
