Leighton may be 15 months old, but I still consider myself a new mom. I’m not sure when the “new mom” stage ends, but I still feel like a total newbie sometimes! And with that comes the never-ending feeling that you never have enough time…especially to yourself. Some days I just want to have some “me time.” I am sure you other moms can relate. Moms are always looking for ways to save time, and I especially look for that when it comes to my beauty routine. After hearing about Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer, I headed over to Walmart to check it out. I ended up buying the wet skin moisturizer with nourishing monoi oil and the one with refreshing coconut oil because both of the scents smelled amazing. My skin is always horrible, especially in winter, so I was really looking forward to trying it out and seeing if it would save me time and really moisturize like it says.
If you haven’t heard of the product yet, you actually apply it while you’re still wet, and it is supposed to instantly lock in moisture on your wet skin. It absorbs two times faster, and it actually hydrates your skin for up to 24 hours. There is no rinsing either. Like I said, I am always looking for ways to save time, and I am SO bad about not moisturizing like I should just because I can’t find the time some days and then forget. The moisturizer was creamy and thick and went on smooth. It was easy to spread and use, and a lot goes a long way. My skin didn’t feel greasy or sticky after applying it, but it really did instantly look and feel softer. Usually when I apply moisturizer, I feel like my skin absorbs it immediately and I still need more moisturizer. Not this time. It really does work, and I was pleasantly surprised. Any time I can save a few minutes getting ready, I am sold! I want the quickest and easiest way to moisturize when getting ready, because let’s be realistic, if it isn’t quick or easy, I won’t do it.
To have a little more “me time”, I decided it was time for me and a few of my closest mom friends to have a mom spa day at home…sort of like a staycation but one that involves a spa – even better! After I get back in town, a few of my mom friends are coming over for our spa day. I am making my favorite salt scrub that I usually make from things that I have around the house.
Refreshing Citrus Salt Scrub
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon of orange zest
Step 1 Mix the sea salt, olive oil and orange zest in a bowl.
Step 2 Apply Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer to wet skin.
Step 3 Pat skin dry.
I can’t wait to try out these products with my mom friends and see if they love them as much as I do. I’ll be sure to let you know how our spa day went soon. Are you looking for ways to moisturize but still save time? Could you use a spa day with Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer?
I can't wait to try this product, thanks for writing about it!!
