Pigtails

We have been using one of those baby brushes with soft bristles since Leighton was born, so Shane and I decided it was finally time to try a big girl brush.  I have the Goody Clean Radiance Oval Cushion Brush that I posted about here and love it, so we decided to get Leighton the Goody Ouchless Girls Oval Brush and Goody Ouchless Elastics from Target.  Leighton absolutely loved it!  I think it is safe to say she is going to be like me – girly and tomboy all at once.  She sat in her little chair and kept brushing her hair over and over.  I loved it because it grasped her hair much better than other brushes, but it was still gentle.  Other brushes I’ve used didn’t really do a good job at actually detangling, but this one has FlexGlide bristles that are strong enough to get through her messy hair but gentle enough to work through tangles without all the pain.  Leighton is girly, but she plays hard.  When she comes home from daycare, she has tangled, matted hair from playing in the dirt, getting yogurt in her hair, and everything else she can get into!  This brush was the first one that actually got through the tangles gently so there are no more tears for mom or baby. 

As Leighton’s hair has gotten longer, I finally got to test out her very first pigtails!  I think they turned out perfectly.  I used the Goody Ouchless Elastics.  They had a quite a few different sizes, so I used the medium size for kids, and it was perfect to make pigtails.  She actually sat still and let me fix both of them.  Don’t judge, this was my first time, so I’m sure I need a little more practice.  = )  She didn’t seem to mind one bit.  They didn’t hurt her, and she actually didn’t mess with them one bit and left them in her hair.  They were great for a comfy and secure hold, and they didn’t pull or snag her hair either.  I feel like she looks so grown up now!  Make sure you check the Cartwheel app for the latest Goody offers like 20% off kid’s accessories and 20% off Goody hairbrushes going on now through 3/19/16.  Have you tried the Goody Ouchless Girls Oval Brush or Goody Ouchless Elastics yet?  What is your favorite hairstyle for your daughter?  Have you tried pigtails yet?
