A couple weeks ago Leighton and I had a fun little girls’ weekend.  I had been out of town for a few times, so it was a much needed little snuggle time over the weekend.  We have been to Bass Pro Shops in downtown Memphis quite a few times, but we finally got a chance to stay at Big Cypress Lodge, the hotel in Bass Pro.  Let me tell you, this place is amazing.  I want to go back now and stay with Shane for an anniversary one weekend.
The rooms were the perfect size, and they were so cozy with electric fireplaces, big wooden beds and chandeliers.  The room overlooks a balcony that overlooks the entire store.  When we first got there we couldn’t help but notice the huge Christmas tree in the lobby.  It was gorgeous, and it was perfect for some pictures.  It was also the first weekend that Santa was there in the store for pictures.  After walking around and doing a little shopping, we ate at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill.  I had the Islamorada Portofino, and it was SO good, and they have a huge fish tank and bowling too, so there was plenty to keep Leighton busy.
The next morning we had breakfast delivered to our room and ate on the balcony.  Leighton loved the yogurt and all the fruit, and I may have enjoyed the chocolate cookies that were in the room for us. ☺ We had the best stay.  If you have kids, it’s the perfect place to stay with them because there is something to keep them entertained nonstop.  And for just the adults, there is plenty of good food, amazing views and a cozy room to relax in.  I already want to go back and have another staycation!
