What to Pack for New England

The countdown is on! One month, and we are headed to New England! Matt and I have both never been and we are thrilled to be exploring a new part of the US! I feel like New England can be so overwhelming – which states to visit, which beaches and parks to visit, what to do, how many days to go, and which order to explore each of the places in. I’ll be sharing my travel itinerary with y’all very soon, but until then, I wanted to share what to pack for New England in the summer!
The temperature is usually in the 70s there in the daytime and in the 50s at nighttime. I a packing some longer midi-length dresses, some shorts, long-sleeved tops, layers, sunglasses, swimsuits, sneakers, and sandals. We are going sailing 1 day and hiking 1 day, so it’s best to prepare for both warmer weather and cooler weather. I am also throwing in plenty of casual pieces with just a couple of dressier pieces for dinners.
With such a coastal vibe in the New England area, I am always drawn toward shades of blue. You can never go wrong with it! A rain jacket or denim jacket is a great layer to throw in your suitcase too just in case. Have you been to New England before? If so, what parts?
