Fall Family Bucket List: 10 Must-Do Activities for Kids in Memphis, TN for an Unforgettable Spooky Season

Fall is here, and so are all of the fun and festive spooky events! There are so many amazing events going on the month of October all over the city, but I want to specifically share my favorites that are family friendly. From pumpkin patches to trick or treating, below are my top 10 favorites to add to your fall family bucket list that we typically try not to miss each year they take place!

Fall Family Bucket List

1.) Priddy Farms now through November 5 open daily – This is our favorite pumpkin patch in the Memphis area, and we visit each year! They are open every single day, and they have a corn maze, haunted woods, a train ride, a tram hay ride, inflatables, farm animals you can feed and so much more! You will definitely want to check them out this October.

2.) Botanic Garden Twilight Thursdays 5:00-8:00pm & Family Campfire Party October 6 from 6:00-8:30pm – We love visiting here seasonally because they always have so many fun things going on! They have so many fun events where you can roast your own hot dogs and s’mores and even listen to some live music and buy food and drinks from food trucks.

3.) The Orpheum Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ in Concert October 7-8 & Beetlejuice October 31-November 5 – Depending on your children’s ages, either of these could be great to take your kids to, especially if you have teens or older kids. I plan on going to see Beetlejuice and cannot wait! The Orpehum always have fun shows and they sometimes show movies there too.

4.) The Mid-South Maze now through October 31 on select nights – This has been a favorite of mine for years! I cannot wait to take the kids, and on select nights during certain times, the corn maze will be haunted for the older kids.

5.) Go Ape at Shelby Farms Halloween and Fall Festivities now through October 31 on select nights – How fun would this be?! Haunted trails, haunted zip lining, pumpkin painting, scavenger hunts and more! Check out their calendar and get your tickets now! While you’re there, make sure to stop by their amazing playground too.

6.) Cedar Hill Farm Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze now through November 4 on select days – We always go here for Easter, and it is so much fun for Halloween too. They have a great playground with amazing slides and a zipline too. There is always so much to do here!

7.) Collierville Fall Festival October 12 from 4:00-6:00pm – This fun festival takes place at Halle Park! Face painting, trick or treating, dressing up in costume and games galore! This will be such a fun little family friendly fall festival you won’t want to miss.

8.) Zoo Boo October 13-31 on select nights – We go to Zoo Boo each year too! This will be such a fun one with all 3 of the kids this year. Let the kids dress up and trick or treat and run around at the zoo while seeing all the lights and spooky decorations. They always love Zoo Boo each year!

9.) Scare on the Square at Collierville Town Square October 20 from 4:00-7:00pm – This is another fun one we typically do each year. The kids love dressing up, getting their face painted, doing the rock wall climbing and then eating tons of good fair food!

10.) Trick or Treat at Carriage Crossing October 25 from 5:00-9:00pm – Dress up and bring your bag for the kids to go trick or treating here. They will have tons of goodies. And then make sure to pack a blanket or chair because they will be showing Hocus Pocus.

11.) Race for the Ville Glow Run October 28 at 6:30pm – Leighton did this run last year and loved it! It benefits Collierville Schools Family Resource Center, and who doesn’t love a fun glow run?! It’s a great way to have a little fun Halloween weekend with the family and kids.

Will you be attending any of these fall events? What are your favorite Halloween festivals around Memphis to go to each year?
