Valentine’s Day is coming up, and Matt and I are taking a little weekend staycation this year. But that made me think about people who may be looking for a great little getaway spot for the weekend with their significant other. Today I am wanting to share 5 amazing trips in the Southeast that are perfect for a romantic getaway! I think they would also be wonderful for a girls trip for Galentine’s Day too! I have been to 3 of these on this list so far, and the other 2 I am crossing off my list this year and cannot wait!
5 Weekend Trips in the Southeast
1.) The Cloister at Sea Island, Georgia – This luxurious hotel has amazing dining, beach access, an amazing pool, bike rentals, tennis courts, golf and an incredible spa. It is nestled in Georgia by the river, marshes and the sea, and it is an absolute must visit spot for a weekend getaway! It has been on my list for years, and I’m so happy to cross it off! I cannot wait to take Matt back with me next time.
2.) Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee – Located in the foothills of the Smokies, this gorgeous luxury hotel has everything. It is situated in the natural beauty of Tennessee. They are known for their dining, but they have so much more. They have a brewery, multiple dining options, a spa, a pool, tennis courts, hiking cycling and more. This place really is a hidden gem that has been here for more than 80 years.
3.) Jekyll Island Club Resort in Jekyll Island, Georgia. It’s one of my absolute favorite places in Georgia, Matt and I had our babymoon here. They have 2 hotels on property. This one is in the historic district and has so much charm and is in the perfect location. The Jekyll Island Ocean Club is located on the beach and has a pool and hot tub too. They have a spa, bike rentals, nature trails, croquet, several wonderful restaurants, great shopping nearby and a spa. This hotel is timeless and is such a sweet getaway.
4.) The Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama – This massive hotel overlooks Mobile Bay. It has a 20,000 square foot spa, tennis courts, 2 golf courses, pickleball courts, tennis courts, croquet lawns, an outdoor and indoor pool, cabanas and several different dining options here. This hotel is all about hospitality, and it is the perfect spot for a Valentine’s stay.
5.) Chateau Elan Luxury Resort & Winery in Braselton, Georgia – Another great spot in Georgia, this resort has a little bit for everyone. It has an outdoor pool and hot tub, a wonderful spa, nature trails, tennis courts, a winery and vineyards, wine bungalows, a golf course and several great restaurants and bars. No matter what you’re interested in, you can definitely find it here!
