Looking to have some quality time with your kids and create special memories with them that will last forever? Then you should have a tea party! You’ll remember that the girls and I had several picnics and tea parties together last year, and this year I was really excited to finally take Leighton the Peabody Hotel to have high tea together. I knew it would be a fun occasion to get dressed up together, have some good tea and food and work on our manners – that’s a win win for everyone!

Our Southern Tea Party

I’ve raved to y’all before about Peabody Memphis and their high tea. Their tea is so good! I always get the Peach Blossom; it’s my absolute favorite! On top of tea, they bring out 3 courses of sandwiches, scones and then desserts. They are all incredible. And they are so accommodating too. They offer gluten free selections, and they also offer kid friendly selections as well. It was perfect for us all. Leighton loved the food and tea as much as I did. Peach blossom tea was her favorite too. And her favorite food item was the croissant with nutella on it.

I love that high tea really gives you the opportunity to disconnect from your phone and work. We were able to just talk and enjoy each other’s company. It was so nice and relaxing. As Leighton gets older, she really loves to dress up for special occasions and do special, fancy things together. It was so nice being able to take my oldest child with me for some quality time together. I hope it’s something she’ll remember forever because I know I will!

If you have been debating on having a tea party with your kids, trust me, do it! It’s such a fun time together. It’s also a great idea for a birthday party. You can throw your own tea party or you can go to our favorite spot, Peabody Hotel, and book a reservation for high tea. Have you had a Southern tea party with your kids before? Have you been to high tea at the Peabody?
