A Whimsical Garden Party for Spring

Last week I threw a beautiful spring garden party at Dixon Gallery & Gardens, and it turned out so pretty. The florals, the tablescape, the food and the company. It was such a fun day! I knew I wanted to throw a brunch for some of my mama friends just in time for Mother’s Day, but honestly, you could do this for any event! There doesn’t need to be a reason to get together with friends and family, eat good food and just enjoy each other’s company.

After checking out all the pretty place settings at Dillard’s Wolfchase, I knew I wanted to use these gorgeous floral print plates. They were just perfect! They scream spring and summer, and I loved the pink and bright colors. After picking the accent plates, I picked out these pretty placemats, plates, and napkins. Then I threw in these super fun glasses. They are acrylic and perfect for an outdoor party. They are so cute and versatile and would work for several occasions. And while I was at Dillard’s, I of course had to get this pretty hot pink little dress to wear to the event. = )

Next is this pretty floral arrangement. I love the colors and the whimsical feel of the centerpiece. It goes perfectly with the plates. And it is in the cutest little rattan basket! TCB & Co. did such a great job creating this arrangement and making sure it went perfectly with the theme and colors!

And because I just couldn’t resist, I ordered this fun vase and champagne flutes. They looks like flower stems in a vase and are just too cute! They were the perfect touch to add to the tablescape. I’ve already used them several times. They really are the perfect touch for any entertaining event! And the colors fit in so well. I am really loving all the shades of pink and bright fun colors.

I brought some of my favorite champagne and juices and made mimosas for us all. They were perfect to go in our colorful glasses. And I served champagne in our flutes. They were all so good and perfect for celebrating all the moms there! We also had some amazing non-alcoholic drinks too that might have actually stolen the show. Keep reading for more about them.

Park & Cherry serves amazing teas and juices at their cafe, and they just started bottling and selling them recently. It was such a treat to be able to try them at my brunch. And they didn’t disappoint! They were absolutely incredible. I loved the hibiscus one. Everyone at the brunch just raved over them! I took some home to the kids too, and they were hooked.

Next up is food! You know that Park & Cherry at Dixon Gallery & Gardens always knocks it out of the park! They created 2 charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, crackers, jams, nuts, fruits and veggies. They even made some espresso brownie bites that were gluten free too. And they were SO yummy!

I love how everything really came together for this event. The tablescape, the flowers, the food and the drinks. It all paired together so well. It was a little humid at first, but then a nice, cool breeze came through that afternoon, and it felt amazing! I could have sat out there all day. It is rare we just sit still and all visit and catch up, so this was much needed!

Cheers to another fun brunch at Dixon with my mom friends! Mary Kate was kind enough to take the pictures and to help me set everything up. It was worth it to catch up with friends and enjoy the amazing spring weather. I hope this inspires you to create your next tablescape and invite your closest friends over for a fun little brunch together. Do you have any brunches you’re throwing soon?
