I still truly can’t believe that back to school time is here! The kids start this week and next, and I’m definitely not ready for it. I guess being more in a routine will be nice, but if it was up to me, I would spend all day with the kids! It has been so fun having them here so much this summer. We cut back on camps this summer and only took one short vacation. We spent most of our days exploring our own city, and it was so fun and refreshing.
Leighton will be going in 5th grade, Amelia will be going into 2nd grade, and Grayson just moved into his 4-K class. Grayson loves his new teachers so much. They are kind, caring and patient, and they are such a good match for him. I have met Leighton’s teacher, and she seems so sweet and fun. We don’t know who Amelia’s teacher will be, but I have no doubt that she will thrive in any class that she is in. She is always so eager to learn more and explore. I think this is going to be such a great year for the kids!
I am going to miss having them at home everyday, but I’m really excited to see what they learn, the new friendships they make, and how they grow this year. Here’s to another school year! When do your kids start back to school? Are they looking forward to it, or are they missing summer already?
