Things to Do in Memphis this Winter as a Couple
.) Enjoy some festive drinks at Hen House – Their new Miracle Pop up will be here on 11/21/2025, and if you’re looking for a great place to eat with festive decorations, drinks and such a great holiday vibe, this is it! We have been going for the last several years, and I’m excited to try out the new location change this year at Hen House. They always have such good food and good vibes. This is sure to be a super fun date night dinner spot!
.) Go to Holiday Wonders at Memphis Botanic Garden – Select nights starting 11/28/25 with different themes, and they are perfect for a date night! We go every year, and it’s one of our favorite events! Cozy up by the fire with hot chocolate and enjoy walking around and seeing all the twinkling lights. So much fun!

.) Take a tour at Graceland – Christmas at Graceland starts today, 11/20/2025. They will have a holiday lighting ceremony, movie showings and other fun events for the holiday season. Plus Graceland will be decorated for Christmas, and it’s the perfect time to take a tour and then have night away at the Guest House at Graceland. Such a fun way to kick off the holiday season!
.) Have dinner at drinks at Tiger & Peacock at the Memphian Hotel – Since this hotel opened a few years ago, we have already been several times every single year! It is in such great location with tons of great places within walking distance. They have a piano in the lobby and are doing music in the lobby on certain nights during the holiday season. The rooftop indoor/outdoor bar is also a favorite spot of ours!

.) Have drinks at the lobby bar at Peabody – The tree lighting takes places on 11/28/25 and you won’t want to miss it. We have been there a couple times for it, and it is so fun! Get there early! If you come anytime afterwards, the tree will be up and you will love how festive it is! They will have special festive drinks, and it’s the perfect spot for date night photos too. it’s always such a fun night at Peabody during the holidays.

.) See a show at the Orpheum – & Juliet plays the week of 11/25/25, Drew & Ellie Holcomb’s Neighborly Christmas is 12/5/25, Nutcracker is 12/12/25-12/14/25, and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical the week of 12/16/2025. I went a few years ago, and it was so fun for adults too! There is nothing more magical than being at the Orpheum during Christmas! They also have a pretty Christmas tree in the lobby upstairs, and it really is our favorite time to see a show!

.) Check out Atrium Lighting at Crosstown Concourse – 12/5/25. This is when they will be having their lighting ceremony. They will have live music, and there will be a Christmas movie showing too. There is so much to do here at Crosstown, and it is even more special during the holidays!

.) Go by Priddy Farms and stroll through the Christmas trees – We always get an artificial Christmas tree each year (hello allergies,, but that doesn’t stop Matt and I (and the kids!) from going and looking. It is definitely magical strolling around at a Christmas tree farm. Plus they typically have a food truck with treats too. Perfect for a little afternoon together!
.) Drive through Starry Nights at Shelby Farms Park – This will never get old. And also…you’re never too old! Go one night without the kids. Drive through or walk with a hot chocolate in hand, and you’re sure to find the Christmas magic. It is open on select nights starting 11/28/25.
.) Eat some brisket at Wolf River Brisket Co in Collierville – Every year they go above and beyond decorating their restaurant for Christmas. And that even includes their screened in patio. They do such a great job, and it makes for a really fun dinner spot for a date night this holiday season!
.) Stroll through the Lantern Festival at the Memphis Zoo – It is currently open, and Matt and I went last weekend. There are thousands of twinkling lights, and it was so pretty! They had festive popcorn, hot chocloate and other drinks, and have you ever ridden the zipline on a date night? It doesn’t get much more fun than that! Trust me! With or without your kids, this is such a fun date spot!

.) Go on a Holiday Dinner & Music Cruise with Memphis Riverboats – We have done this before, but not for the holidays. This year, we are adding it to our list. It sounds like so much fun! The food is good, the entertainment is great, and it’s such a fun way to see the city and the Mississippi River. Bundle up and enjoy a night on the river!
