A couple weeks ago I took a glamping trip back to Canton, North Carolina, just 30 minutes outside of Asheville. This was my 4th time to be back at The Glamping Collective, and I was really excited to try out different accommodations this time, their luxe glass cabin. Over the past few years, we have stayed in several different domes, but this was our first time to stay in their glass cabin. They are at the top of the property on the mountain, so we were pumped to see the gorgeous views. And they definitely disappoint! I was so happy to be back in North Carolina. It genuinely has become one of my top 5 favorite places to travel to each year.
Canton, North Carolina is only a 7 hour drive from Memphis, so it’s great for a weekend getaway where you can easily drive or fly. From the moment we turned into the property, the views were just astonishing. We kept on driving up the mountain past the domes all the way to the glass cabins, and we fell in love with it all over again! The views just right outside our cabin were so dreamy! We had the very top cabin, and it was 100% worth it.
We had a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin that included absolutely everything we needed and more. There was a small but modern bathroom, a small kitchen with mini fridge, cooktop, air fryer, table and chairs. The bed in the bedroom was so, so comfy! We had sliding doors on the front of the cabin that immediately lead to a deck with a hot tub and fire table. The hot tub was so nice to take a dip in each night.
A short walk from our cabin, there was a community area set up with adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a grill and a firepit. And we can’t forget the several hiking trails nearby also. We went hiking one day, we cooked, we hot tubbed, we enjoyed the fire table and just totally soaked up the peaceful vibes, the mountain air and the picturesque views. The only thing that could make this trip ever better was that on the second and third days, it snowed. We got the best of both worlds – warm mountain weather and gorgeous snow covered mountain views. It was perfect!

Whether it’s a family trip, a girls trip or a couples’ trip, there is something for everyone. And the town is only 10 minutes away too. They have great restaurants for dinner like Southern Porch, a great breakfast spot, Grateful Table, and a wonderful coffee shop, Papertown Coffee. And just 30 minutes away is Asheville, where there is no shortage of things to do. You will definitely want to add this destination to your list this year!
