A matching set will always be one of my favorites! A matching set instantly makes an outfit look more polished with almost no effort. Lately I’ve been gravitating toward lightweight summer sets because they make getting dressed easier while not feeling too heavy for the hot summer days coming up. This navy scalloped matching set from Avara quickly became one of my favorite summer outfits. The boxy scalloped top paired with the matching faux wrap skirt is such a great casual outfit that would look great for brunch, date night or even summer concert nights out.
Why I Love Lightweight Sets for Summer
Matching sets are everywhere this summer, and I completely understand why. They instantly create a coordinated outfit without needing a lot of styling which makes them perfect for busy everyday life. I feel like that makes them perfect for mom life. IYKYK. One of my favorite things about lightweight summer sets is how versatile they are. They look more elevated than a casual shorts outfit while still being breathable and comfortable enough for everyday wear during the summer months.
This navy set is especially easy to wear because the pieces can also be styled separately. The scalloped top would look just as great with white denim or tailored denim shorts while the wrap skirt would also pair perfectly with a simple white tank or lightweight sweater. I always love investing in pieces that can work multiple ways because they end up becoming the outfits I wear the most. And you also get more for your money!

Final Thoughts
Lately I’ve really been leaning into outfits that make everyday life easier while still looking put together. And that is especially true in the summer! I love really trying to be even more present and intentional with the kids in the summer, and that means having go-to outfits that I can just throw on and go without having to really think about. And this lightweight summer set does exactly that. It is comfortable, classic, flattering and feminine. And in navy blue with white trim, you could also save it for a nicer sporting event or even for 4th of July later this summer. I’m telling you, the possibilities are endless with this set!
