Marshalls – More Than Just Fashion

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I wanted to talk about Marshalls and some of the beauty products I recently received from there.  You already know that Marshalls is a great place to find designer clothing, shoes and bags at discount prices, but they definitely have much more than that.  Growing up, I always shopped at Marshalls with my mom and little sister.  Limited, Guess and Ralph Lauren were the brands to wear back in the 90’s, and we couldn’t really afford any of those, but luckily we had a Marshalls only about an hour away.  I remember being so excited when I found a great Limited top at Marshalls that I could use for my middle school picture day.  Even back then, some of my favorite things to shop for besides clothing were the homegoods and beauty products.  Not much has changed these days, and Marshalls still remains to be one of my favorite places to shop for most anything.  I even bought some Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, another Kitchen Aid spatula and some dog treats for almost half off this week.  It is one of those places that I can’t help picking up another item or two off the shelves when I’m waiting to checkout.  = )
When I received a package in the mail from Marshalls and saw that it included a lot of Chi products, I was so excited to try them!  You already know that my favorite hair product is Chi Silk Infusion, and I use a Chi flatiron, so I was really excited to try some more Chi products.  I received Chi Magnified Volume Shampoo and Conditioner and their Firm Hold Hair Spray.  The scent of the shampoo and conditioner was a little different than what I expected.  It had an almost sweet smell like candy.  Luckily, the way it works makes up for its sweet scent.  The shampoo and conditioner have a nice, thick texture, and they lather pretty easily.  I have been using both of them for a few weeks now and love the way they make my hair feel.  I haven’t even had to switch out shampoos because of build up.
The Chi hairspray is my absolute favorite product I received!  Why?  Because it smells just like the Chi Silk Infusion I use to help smooth my hair.  It smells amazing!  Trust me.  Even Shane loves the scent.  It also holds my hair great, and I have really thick hair.  This hairspray is perfect for a topknot or bun!  The last product I received was the Revive Makeup Blending Sponge.  I don’t wear any foundation, so I didn’t think I would use the sponge, but I do use a little concealer on my chin (where I have a scar from a mountain biking accident.)  Since it is such a small area where I apply the concealer, I have always just used my finger and was pretty set in my ways to continue doing that.  I have been using it for the last couple of weeks though, and I can honestly tell a little bit of a difference.  It helps me to blend the concealer.  Since I only apply it on my chin, I have to be careful not to have that dreaded line between my face and my neck.  The Revive sponge has definitely made that easier.  I’m still using each of these products today.  I don’t know if I will continue to buy the shampoo and conditioner because of price, but I am sold on the sponge and the hairspray.  What are your favorite items to buy from Marshalls?
