My Living Room Update

Living Room Update Details:

You might have seen my post on Instagram, but I FINALLY got this photo of me and Leighton from Mother’s Day last year framed.  Yep, I’m a little behind.  I realized I had one printed for my mom but never got one for myself.  I selected the big picture from Minted and customized it from there.  I uploaded the image at Minted and then chose my size and frame style and color and then waited on it to show up at my door.  I am SO happy with how it turned out!  It’s probably my favorite picture of me and Leighton so far.

I use Minted quite a lot and love them for all things home and cards.  The pretty picture over the mantle is from Minted along with Leighton’s birthday cards this year (I’ll be sharing a post soon so watch out to see how those turned out) and our Christmas cards each year.  I think this picture is just what it needed.  I didn’t have any family pictures in the living room so I was happy to have this huge one added to the wall, and it really evens out the artwork on that wall too.  Not to mention it adds a little color in there too.  I’m thinking about getting a new rug with some color in it to brighten up the room more.  What do you think?

I also bought a few Halloween decorations for my living room update.  We lost all our holiday decorations in the move last year.  I was bummed at first, but now I look at it as a chance to start over and get some new decorations that I really love and that match my style.  And of course I’m letting Leighton pick them all out.  I think she did pretty well.  She chose the light up pumpkin, the skulls and of course she even picked out some candy corn to decorate with (I mean eat!)
