Mom life is the best life.  I am in love with this new sweatshirt because I love wearing anything that talks about being a mom.  It’s like when you get married, you want to shout it from the rooftops.  Just 16 short months ago, I could not have even told you what being a mom was like.  I was pregnant with Leighton, but I still had no clue what it would be like.  Right then it felt amazing, tiring, scary, and 16 months later, it still feels about the same – amazing, tiring, scary, but it is so, so much better than just that.  I know I will never have it all figured out, but the fun of motherhood is learning as your child learns too.  Every new stage, tantrum, accomplishment, we learn together.  To me, mom life really is the best life.  Little did I know before then though.  I had no idea what I was missing out on.  Things were great before Leighton too, but they were just different than they are now.  I love this different and don’t want to change it for anything though.  She gives so much purpose to my life now.  For the moms out there, what is your favorite part of “mom life”?  Mine is definitely watching Leighton learn something new.  It is so satisfying to see her accomplish something and be so proud of herself, though I am sure I am even more proud of her!  Last night she had some crazy tantrums, but she also laid her head on my chest, looked up at me, and then gave me 3 kisses.  It was the sweetest thing.  We have been trying to get her to give kisses for months so it melted my heart!  She even gave Shane a couple!

Like I said, I love this sweatshirt.  I find pretty much any excuse to wear it which happens basically every weekend.  I was sick this past weekend so I threw it on with some coral leggings and some Nikes; it’s so versatile (as you can see, Carly paired it with a pretty purple full, midi skirt!)  I paired mine with my favorite jeans, flats and a faux fur coat because #twinning ain’t easy.  Faux fur for mom and faux fur for baby.  = )  Leighton wore her new dress and vest from Lacey Lane that I am obsessed with!  They have probably the cutest kids clothing I have ever seen in my life.  And the gingham and fur paired with these cheetah print boots from Zimmerman Shoes…these pictures of her in that outfit seriously have my grinning from ear to ear.  This might be my favorite outfit on her so far.  Make sure you stop by and visit Carly, Megan and Sandy to see how they styled their Mom Life sweatshirts and their Zimmerman Shoes.  = )
