Floral & Leather + Memphis Blogger Meetup Recap

Thanks for stopping by today ladies; it means the world to me!  I have a post chock full of pictures today so I really hope you enjoy them.  I got this gorgeous floral print Loft blouse recently.  It didn’t look very special online, but when I tried it on in stores I just knew I had to have it.  I’ve actually already worn it twice in the last week.  Oops.  = )  The first time is in the first few pictures.  I paired it with a neon yellow skinny belt.  My second purchase ever from Old Navy- hooray!  They are getting cuter and cuter stuff every time I go.  So happy they’ve been stepping it up to compete more with their sister stores!  I love the contrast of the delicate floral shirt with the neon belt and with a pair of black liquid leggings!  I just recently got these leggings from Danielle at C7 Boutique, and I really love them (especially the price tag – only $12!)  Danielle is a fellow blogger, and is just so, so sweet.  Check out her blog here and say hello.  I think you will just fall in love with her story and her beautiful family!  The store just opened this month and is very new, but please stop by and take a look.  Remember this awesome giveaway for the mustache scarf that is still going on right now?  It’s from C7 Boutique also!!  Also a heads up, I’ll be giving away a $30 Target gift card this Wednesday so make sure to check back!  And don’t forget to enter the giveaway for the $50 gift card to American Pretty Boutique here.Follow my blog with Bloglovin

A couple days later Saturday rolled around.  We had been planning the Memphis blogger meetup I think since I first became a blogger back in December (I was really excited, what can I say?!)  And I realized on Saturday that apparently I had completely forgotten to even plan an outfit, so I pulled out my basically new Loft blouse again but paired it with my favorite Citizens of Humanity jeans for the blogger meetup.  We met up at Local Gastropub at their new location at Overton Squre.  It is in such a cool part of town in a nice two-story building.  I loved the brick walls inside, and the whole place had a really laidback cool vibe.  We sat upstairs right by the window and had a nice view.  I checked in at the hostess stand 30 minutes early and they already had our table ready.  Talk about good service!  Our waiter was just awesome too.  He was very attentive and did everything he could to keep this group of bloggers happy.  He even served our cake to us that my friend Jaime made.  I had spoken with a couple of the managers previously, and they gave us three free appetizers.  We chose the Crisp Calimari, Smoked Duck Quesadilla and Warm Baked Pretzels.  Every one of them looked incredible, and I think I ate half the plate of calimari…seriously.  I had eaten at the downtown location for lunch only so I was excited to try out their dinner menu.  Everyone only had great things to say about everything they ordered.  It was that good.  We had an incredible time.  I love Local, the service was great, and the group of girls I got to meet were amazing.  I cannot wait for the next Memphis blogger meetup!  I felt like I had known these girls for years, and it was just so easy to talk to all of them.  Before we knew it, over 3 hours has just flown by.  We will definitely be planning another one soon, and I’ll definitely be heading back to Local with Shane sometime soon too!  Keep scrolling for millions of pictures.  = )

Bunless Local Burger with Fried Egg and Bacon.  So, so good.  What is better than a burger?  One with an egg and bacon on it!

 

 Gorgeous (and delicious) cake made and donated by Jaime Byram.  It was chocolate and white cake.  I’m a huge chocolate lover, but both were so good, and the icy was so creamy!

Mini cupcakes donated by Brande Burrow from Confetti Cupcakes in Covington, TN.  She made chocolate ones and wedding cakes ones.  Delicous, and I loved the sprinkles!!

 I purchased Emi-Jay hair ties from Impulse Boutique in Collierville, TN.  They are one of my favorite clothings boutiques here in the Memphis area, so check them out if you’re in the area.
