Stripes & Florals for Easter + $500 Giveaway!!

 So we all love stripes, yes?  Stripes go with everything – florals, plaid, polka dots.  The list goes on and on.  I love mixing prints.  I have been looking for the perfect striped tee, and I finally found it last week at Macy’s – about time!  Have yall checked out their Bar III line?  I can usually find some cute, trendy items that are very reasonalby priced, and the quality is pretty good too.  The striped tee I have on is from there, and I love it.  I paired it with a tulip draped floral skirt and cognac shoes on Easter.  I’m even wearing the tee again today – gotta get my money’s worth!  I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of it.  All of the ones I kept seeing everywhere were too boatneck that they would show my bra straps or they were too thin or thick and unflattering.  This one is leighweight but not tissue thin.  It is very soft and stretchy too.  I’m glad the search for a striped tee has finally ended, and now I can move onto other things – like the perfect mint shorts, mint purse, mint skirt…see a pattern here?

We had Easter lunch at my mom’s house out in the country.  It was nice getting to be with all the family, my siblings and of course my 2 nephews.

Then we went to Shane’s grandma’s house for Easter dinner.  My other SIL Lindsey started a cupcake business this past week – Whole Lotta Cupcakes.  If you’re in the Memphis area and need cupcakes, let me know and I’ll give you her info.

No family get together or holiday is complete without gambling.  We love playing left right center.  It’s a dice game, and you can find it at Walmart, Target or Walgreens.  There were 10 of us playing, and I won.  So, I am now $30 richer, woohoo!!  Afterwards we went home and the sun came out for a little bit, so we took the dogs for a nice walk across the street on the riverwalk.  It was the perfect ending to a great Easter.  = )The winner of the $20 Target Gift Card and the 8 x 10 Brittany Fuson print of their choice is Ashley at Embracing the Everyday!!  Congratulations, and email me for details!!

    Great pattern mixing! I like how the stripes on the top are subtle, and the skirt isn't your typical flower skirt…more of a water color, if you will. That picture of you in the rain is TOO cute! And I love the Easter spread, beautiful decorating!
