I’ll warn you that today’s post will sound more like a Random Wednesday’s post, but you’ll want to keep reading. Today I am teaming up with Kristin from Bon Bon Rose Girls and Trina from The Baby Shopaholic to show you a few different ways to wear one of the year’s hottest trends, neon. I love the bright, fun neon print in Kristin’s outfit, and I think Trina and I have very similar taste in yellow and white striped tops. ; ) Please make sure you stop by their blogs to see the full details of how they styled neon.
While your checking out those 2 gorgeous ladies’ blogs, make sure you also check out the amazing Graphic Image Christmas in July sale. Graphic Image is the parent company for GiGi New York, and they have some amazing leather goods. They will have 50% off site wide, and they will also have a few select GiGi New York items included in the sale too. It is for today only, so make sure you don’t miss it!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! We didn’t end up going to the concert Friday night, but all that really matters is we went to the concert on Saturday night (and my new denim cutoff shorts were the perfect thing to wear!) Shane, my sister, her husband and I took my dad to the Botanic Gardens for the first time to see Robert Plant. Hopefully everyone knows he was the lead singer for Led Zeppelin. ; ) I saw he and the guitarist, Jimmy Page, 15 years ago with my mom and brother, so I was excited to see Plant play some of his classics again. We got their 2 hours early when the gates opened to get a good spot on the lawn. We all took chairs, a cooler and blankets. We got a great spot on the lawn, and we lucked out with 80 degree weather. Plant played a great variety of Led Zeppelin classics, some solo songs and some new songs with his current band. I was worried about the variety of music he would play and the quality of his voice, but I was beyond impressed. His voice sounded even better than I remember. Shane seconds this also (yes, we had a whole discussion about this at 1:00am after the concert.) We are big music lovers if you couldn’t tell ; ) I have been fortunate enough to have been to some amazing concerts thanks to growing up in a family who loves rock n roll, and this concert definitely made it onto my top 5 favorite concerts I’ve ever been to list. My dad had a great time too. He said he was only 14 when Led Zeppelin played here back in 1969, so this was his first time to ever hear Plant in concert. We had a great time, and I think we might even have to take my dad back to the Botanic Gardens in September to see Foreigner.
If you follow me on Instagram, you recently saw me wearing a beautiful Gigglosophy mint pave bracelet.
