Thanks for stopping by for the Day to Night Series! Every two weeks I will pick a different item to style with a different blogger. One person will style it more casually for day, and the other will dress it up for night. This week the item is a colored leather jacket.  I got this jacket from Gordmans a couple months ago, and the color has been just perfect to wear with so many pieces.  Even though it is a beautiful deep wine color that is perfect for fall and winter, I loved pairing it with some brighter colors to balance it out.  I dressed up my jacket by pairing it with a blue blouse and blue suede shoes (I’m from Memphis!)  They paired perfectly with my dress that I had turned into a skirt.  I absolutely love the print on this skirt (dress?) and have already worn it quite a few times.  You can see where I wore it as a dress last here.  Do you like it better as a dress or a skirt?  It was a tough decision, but I definitely get more use out of it as a skirt.  Megan from The Tickled Life dressed down her colored leather jacket by pairing it with brightly colored abstract print pants, blue heels, a blue blouse and a blue pump that I need in my closet.  I love how we both wore the same color scheme with blue and yellow!  Make sure you stop by Megan’s blog to see her outfit details.  See you tomorrow, and make sure you enter the giveaway for a free Rebecca Minkoff bag here!

  1. LOVE this outfit!!!! I definitely have a pair of blue suede shoes (I mean, it's a must in memphis, right??) and I looooove the print of this skirt/dress!! I'm going to have to start pairing my blue suedes with some more bright colors. I tend to play it safe and wear them with greys.
