Trend Spin Linkup – Coats, Capes & Ponchos

Thank you so much for stopping by the Trend Spin Linkup today! Today’s theme is coats, capes and ponchos!  To say I have been obsessed with each of these is an understatement.  I don’t know if it’s the cold weather or the fact that I got used to dressing for comfort while pregnant, but I literally have been throwing on a cape, poncho or coat over pretty much everything I wear – dresses, leggings, tunics, anything.  It is the perfect modern way to layer for the winter.  When I spotted this cape from River Island a few months ago, I jumped on it immediately, and I have gotten so much use out of it already.  I love the fur collar on it too.  It is sold out in this color plaid, but I really love this plaid printed one too!  I think I may even get the arms stitched so it will stay on my shoulders and arms better like a poncho more than a cape.  The cape is pretty casual so I paired it with some casual booties, but then added a dressier piece like a LBD.  By the way, you have got to check out H.C.B.’s great selection of shoes.  I am wearing a pair of their booties today.  The fit is great, they are comfortable, they look great, and they are only $50!  And don’t forget to check out the featured bloggers from last week below.

    I LOVEEE capes, ponchos and coats(and scarfs)!!! Definitely my favorite part of the weather getting colder so I am so excited by this blog post. You ladies look amazing!!!

    Okay so I am thinking about entering into the Trend Spin Linkup but want to make sure I am doing it right. So for this week I would add my pictures wearing a coat, cape or poncho and then next week starting Tuesday i would add a post wearing boots or booties???

    Hi Laura,

    I am so sorry but I just linked up an outfit that doesn't belong here and I can't click on the delete button because the Pinterest icon shows up and takes me to pin the image. Clearly it's 1 am and I'm sleep deprived; I didn't mean to link up that hot pink dress on this trend spin linkup (I have various pages open at once)… So sorry!
