Lulu & Georgia

Today I am teaming up with Lulu & Georgia to share a few of my new favorite pieces I’ve added to my house.  They are also offering all of my readers 20% off their purchase through next Wednesday, April 8 with the code MEMPHIS20.  I have been wanting to get a rocking chair, and this one was just what I had in mind.  I have pretty modern taste, and the rocker is just the right amount of modern for me.  Right now it is in the corner of mine and Shane’s room, but once Leighton gets a little bigger, I will eventually put it in her room for her to use.  It is not too big and not too small, so I think she will grow into it really quickly and just love having her own rocking chair.  I love the mixture of the molded plastic seat mixed with the ash wood base and metal legs.  I think the mixture of metals, plastic and wood gives it even more of a modern but whimsical feel.  I already had a couple of these moroccan poufs, but what I’ve learned over the years is that you can never have too many.  They work perfectly as an ottoman, seat or even coffee table.  We have one in almost every room – Leighton’s room, the living room and one in our room now.  They are perfect for extra seating, and especially helpful so my feet can touch the ground while sitting in our chairs. #shortpeopleproblems
Second on my wish list was this ghost chair.  Ever since I first saw ghost chairs a couple of years ago, I have been wanting one.  I love the arms on the ghost chair, and it even comes in black and ivory too.  It was a really tough choice, but I had to go with my first choice, clear.  Right now I have it in the corner of the dining room, but I am planning on getting a vanity soon, so this will be the perfect compliment to it.  I also love the idea of using ghost chairs with a metal dining room table.  How gorgeous would that be?!
Don’t forget to finally get everything on your wish list from Lulu & Georgia by saving 20% for the next week with code MEMPHIS20.  What’s your favorite item from there?  My other favorite has got to be this new doormat!  Thanks for stopping by; see you tomorrow!
