Oh my goodness y’all, how pretty is this peplum top and pencil skirt?  It is perfect for spring.  So classy too.  It would be great for weddings, showers, church, or even work.  I have to be honest, I was a little nervous about wearing a peplum top and pencil skirt.  I wasn’t sure if the peplum would make me look wide or not or if the skirt would do the same thing.  If anything, I actually feel they are more slimming.  Bigger, flowy pieces do not always hide imperfections like we think they will.  I feel like these pieces actually do elongate my legs and torso and are pretty flattering.
She Traveled has some beautiful separates including full skirt, pencil skirts and tops to match.  You can mix and match or you can wear them as I set like I did.  I had a baby shower to go to this past weekend, and I’m kicking myself now because this would have been the perfect outfit to wear (now that I’ve destroyed my closet searching for an outfit.)  And this pretty vermillion tote from Dagne Dover pairs with this outfit so perfectly.  I love the classic shape of this bag in such a fun and modern color.  It is so pretty and has plenty of pockets and zippers on it that are both functional and pretty.  It comes with a tablet sleeve, pen loops, ID pocket, sunglass pouch, umbrella holder and water bottle holder.  If that isn’t the perfect bag for anything, I don’t know what is.  I have to say, I have even used it as a diaper bag and put Leighton’s sippy cup in the neoprene bottle holder.  This limited edition bag from Dagne Dover even comes in cork.  That would be so fun paired with a casual romper for spring.  This entire outfit is perfect for the girl on the go who wants to look classy, stylish  and professional all at the same time.  What do you think about the pencil skirt and peplum top?  What would you mix them each with?  What are your best tips for minimizing waists and hips?
