Can y’all believe it will be August next week?  Before we know it, it will be back to school time!  Eek, where does the time go?!  I’ve been wanting to add some comfortable shoes to mine and Leighton’s wardrobe for back to school.  I wanted some shoes that were cute, comfortable, didn’t break my budget and would easily go with most all our outfits.  I stopped into Shoe Carnival recently and found the cutest pair of shoes for both of us.  I found the perfect casual sandal by Madden Girl.  A pretty cognac color, a comfy footbed, and a thick strap that won’t dig into your foot.  These are sandals you can easily wear all day long without your feet hurting.  And Leighton’s Keds.  How precious are these?!
It is like a rite of passage to put your daughter in Keds, especially for school.  I remember my own Keds when I was little.  = )  I remember going to school in my little Keds, getting them filthy and then having to put shoe polish on them each week.  Keds are hands down the perfect back to school shoes.  Whether your child is wearing shorts, jeans, dresses or a uniform to school, they go with everything.  And they can just as easily be dressed up with her pretty little church dress on Sunday.
It’s crazy to think that Leighton will be starting school when she’s 3.  That’s only another year!  It’ll be so much fun doing back to school shopping, lunch packing and field trips.  I feel like it’ll be here before we know it.  I also remember how big of the deal the first day of school really is.  You have to have some cute new shoes for school, but mom wants them to be comfortable and still affordable.  Shoe Carnival has the best selection of brands and styles to get you and your little one ready for school.  Perfect for those little feet that quickly outgrow their shoes each season.
The sales associates at my local Shoe Carnival were so nice.  It is near my work, so I was able to just pop over there on my lunch break.  But I love that I can easily place an order in store or online too.  The sales associate even signed me up for their Shoe Perks program, let me spin their wheel for a coupon, and then he helped me find more stuff to use with my coupon.  We even got a few pairs of some cute little Keds socks that were on sale.  And I’m still kicking myself for not getting these chambray Keds so Leighton and I could twin in our matching comfy shoes!  It’s not back to school time if you don’t do some shopping and get some great pairs of new shoes for school.

    ok so I definitely would want to steal this for myself lol- if I did, I would get the madden girl Dominicc boot. But my 10 yr old is sitting next to me and I had her look at a few pages of boots, we found a few that she liked. She would like a wedge boot- like the black Soda favor 11 bootie/wedge. But she also liked, and probably NEEDS these more-
