Leighton and I went to the park last night to have a fun girl’s night of playing in our comfy and casual back to school outfits. Shane takes and picks up Leighton from daycare each day, so when I get home from work each night, I usually try to take her somewhere to do something special and fun for a little mama and mini time. I wore this new dress yesterday that I know you have seen me wear too many times over the past week. Sorry, not sorry, it is a new favorite! Leighton wore an adorable new little peplum dress from Mitz Apparel & Accessories. This cat print dress is so super soft, stretchy and comfy and perfect for back to school.
Mitz Apparel & Accessories is a site that sells clothing and accessories for men, women and kids. I cannot say enough about how much I love Mitz. They have some of the cutest new prints that are all about gender equality. There are not many gender inclusive clothing options in the marketplace, and Mitz wants to change that. They have prints such as baking, dinosaurs, cats, superheros, steam engines and construction machinery. And they are unisex. I don’t know about your toddler, but Leighton is absolutely obsessed with trucks and construction equipment. She says big truck or steamroller whenever we pass them on the road. Just because she’s a girl doesn’t mean she can’t like those things and even wear them on her clothes. The same thing goes for boys. They can love cats and cooking too. I don’t think one print should be only boy or girl. If you’re kid likes it, I say go for it!
These dresses paired with a denim vest or jacket are the perfect back to school looks. Comfy, but still pulled together. Kohl's and Old Navy have had some great deals on girls/juniors jeans and tshirts.
We have found adorable shoes and boots. One of the girls is into Princesses. It's amazing how many Princess themed items she has found in the stores!

I love yalls looks and Leightens little denim vest is too sweet.
My daughters do their own back to school clothing. My oldest has to wear scrubs everyday. My youngest is at Ole Miss and will buy a few basic high end pieces but also goes to good will and loves finding nwt designer pieces and paying $3 a piece for them. Then of course each time she's home then goes back to Oxford I'm always missing items from my closet. But that's part of it.

i always head to kohls for my niece and nephew. they have some super cute layered pieces for girls, but that are all one outfit. scarf, shirt, and cardigan for $18 and super cute, too.
