With summer basically around the corner, Leighton is spending even more time outdoors.Β During recess at preschool, at the park with me after work, and basically all weekend long.Β So I am always searching for great casual summer clothing that can be worn to preschool but can also be worn to playΒ in, eatΒ dinner in or even head to the zoo in.Β Basically I want pieces that are:
1.)Β Affordable
2.) Durable
3.)Β Trendy
The last thing I want to do is spend $50+Β per outfit for Leighton from a boutiqueΒ or designer brand just to have it get stained at the park or school.Β She may be cute, but this girl knows how to play hard and get pretty dirty at school.Β This is where Kohl’s comes in.Β They have some greatΒ brands and pieces that are just perfect as casual summer clothing with their play-proof durability, versatility and fun styles and prints.Β From Jumping Beans to Sonoma to Adidas, they definitely carry some of our favorite brands.
IΒ picked up these adorable Jumping Beans lace shorts, Jumping Beans lemon print top, Jumping Beans olive green tank and Adidas shoes for Leighton a few weeks ago at my local Kohl’s.Β Β And then I stoppedΒ inΒ about a week later to spendΒ some of my Kohl’s cash, and I spotted this pretty olive green eyelet tank top in women’s sizing.Β It is so lightweight and flowy, it’s the perfect casual summer clothing and I knew I justΒ had to get it.Β I alsoΒ stocked up on quite a few pairs of Levi’s shorts including these frayed ones that I have been living in since I got them.Β And because I have no shame when it comes to matching my toddler,Β you better believe I picked up a pair of Adidas sneakers for myself too.Β = )
These were the perfect casual summer outfits that took us from breakfast together at a local restaurant to playing at the park to sushi together that night.Β With summertime here, you will definitely want to stock up on some great play time pieces, and Kohl’s has made for play pieces at made for play prices.Β No more spending an arm and a leg for pieces that may or may not make it home alive.Β = )Β Β What are you favoriteΒ brands for casual summer clothing?Β Have you checked out Kohl’sΒ lately for their great made for play pieces for kids?
