Searching for a delicious bulletproof coffee shake recipe? I’m sharing one I’ve been loving lately!
Today I am sharing one of my favorite recipes – bulletproof coffee. It is so easy to make, and it is SO good! Whether you think you will like it or not, try it, because it is a favorite of mine. I use decaf coffee in mine, but you can use any kind you prefer. For protein powder, I use Garden of Life vanilla protein. And for butter, I use Kerrygold. I know it sounds strange to add butter, but just trust me. You can also substitute coconut oil for the butter. And if you don’t like cinnamon or nutmeg, you can skip those. See below for the full recipe!
Bulletproof Coffee Shake
Ingredients
- 16 oz coffee
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 pinch cinnamon
Instructions
- Brew your coffee as normal. I use decaffeinated, but you can brew any kind you prefer. I have also used shots of espresso sometimes instead of drip coffee.
- Pour coffee in blender and add protein powder, butter and spices.
- Blend and enjoy. It's that easy!
I love that this bulletproof coffee shake is warm, filling and honestly tastes like a yummy warm latte. It is so good! If you end up making it, let me know what you think! I prefer drinking it hot, but you could also add ice and make an iced coffee shake or even blend it with ice. Enjoy!
Ok so tell us what type of protein powder and why?
Why are you not using the MCT oil?
Which coconut oil would you use?
I typcially use Garden of Life or Truvani protein powder, but it is up to your preference and taste. For coconut oil, I usually just order Good & Gather.
