Some of the best weekend plans are the ones that let you experience something completely different without traveling far from home. The Croft Show at Mallard’s Croft brought the charm of a destination design market to the Mid-South with four days of shopping, food, art, live entertainment and special events, all set against the beautiful grounds of Mallard’s Croft in Byhalia, Mississippi.
Think of it as a taste of Round Top closer to home—a beautifully curated mix of antiques, original art, fashion, home décor and special experiences just outside Memphis. It was elevated but still welcoming, and the setting made the entire weekend about much more than shopping.
Matt and I attended The Rancher’s Table on Saturday night with friends, and it was such a fun way to experience the show. We dressed up, enjoyed dinner outdoors and spent the evening catching up while our husbands got to know one another. It was relaxed but still special, which is exactly what I want from a night out with friends.
What Is The Croft Show?
The Croft Show is a Western-inspired shopping and lifestyle event held at Mallard’s Croft, about 25 minutes from Memphis. The show was created by father-and-daughter duo Tom Green III and Anna Grace Green after years of visiting markets like Round Top and dreaming of bringing that same sense of discovery, design and community to the Mid-South.
If you have ever wanted to visit Round Top but could not make the trip to Texas, this is such a fun event to have close to home. The show brings together artists, antique dealers, interior designers, boutiques, makers and home décor brands from cities across the country. Instead of walking through a typical convention center, guests explore vendor spaces throughout the indoor and outdoor areas of the property. The entire setting makes the shopping experience much more memorable.
The event is not only for serious antique collectors or interior designers either. There is fashion, original art, furniture, vintage pieces, accessories, gourmet food and plenty of inspiration for anyone who enjoys decorating, entertaining or finding something that is a little different from what is available in regular stores.
Our Night at The Rancher’s Table
We attended The Rancher’s Table, one of the ticketed experiences offered during The Croft Show. Since the main shopping portion of the day had ended by the time our dinner began, our evening was more about the experience than browsing the vendors. I loved that it gave us a reason to dress up, spend time outside and do something that was different from our usual dinner plans.
The setting at Mallard’s Croft was one of my favorite parts of the night. It is a beautiful property, and the Western details worked so naturally with the landscape. The dinner had that elevated ranch-to-table atmosphere without becoming overly formal. We could enjoy a thoughtfully planned evening while still laughing, talking and relaxing with friends.
There were live-fire cooking demonstrations and other Western-inspired experiences throughout the event. Matt and the other husbands had never all spent time together before, so it was especially fun watching them immediately settle in while the three of us enjoyed having everyone together. A good dinner is always nice, but sharing it with people you genuinely enjoy is what makes the night memorable.
More Than a Shopping Event
What made The Croft Show stand out was the variety of ways to experience it. Guests could spend the day shopping the curated vendors or purchase tickets to special events held throughout the weekend. The 2026 schedule included a tablescape dinner, a mahjong night, a design book signing, a hands-on wreath and bow workshop and The Rancher’s Table.
That mix made it easy to plan the kind of visit you wanted. You could make it a girls’ shopping day, attend a creative workshop, plan a date night or bring friends for one of the evening experiences. A portion of proceeds from the special events also benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, adding a meaningful local connection to the weekend.
What to Wear to The Croft Show
The event encourages elevated Western style, so this is the time to have fun with your outfit. Think flowy dresses, denim, statement belts, hats and boots during daytime show hours. I would choose comfortable shoes if you plan to shop because the vendors are spread across indoor and outdoor areas and some of the ground may be uneven.
For an evening dinner, you can dress up a little more while still keeping the Western influence. A printed dress, boots and simple accessories would work perfectly. You do not need to wear a costume or buy an entirely new outfit. A few Western-inspired details are enough to fit the setting and still look like yourself.
Tips for Attending The Croft Show
If you plan to attend a future Croft Show, purchase tickets for any specialty events early because space is limited. Specialty-event tickets include admission to the show for that same day, so arrive during regular show hours if you also want time to shop. We attended the evening dinner after the shopping hours had ended, so do not assume you will be able to browse the vendors during every nighttime event.
The show takes place rain or shine and includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, so check the weather and dress accordingly. It will be hot! Dress the theme, but be comfortable. Wear comfortable boots if you have them. Hydrate and eat before you come. There were two food trucks this year – one with tacos and one with barbecue. There were a few drink options – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. On Friday, there was no options to order water until 11:00. Have your ticket ready to scan when you arrive and give yourself enough time to park and walk through the property. If shopping is your priority, I would also bring measurements and photos of any rooms you are decorating. With so many one-of-a-kind pieces, it helps to know exactly what will work in your space. There might be some good sales on Sunday, but many vendors and merchandise will already be gone. Sunday is definitely a day worth visiting, but don’t save any must-haves for that day. Treat it as a day to see if you overlooked anything and get some more last minute purchases.
Is The Croft Show Worth Visiting?
Yes, especially if you love home décor, antiques, fashion, entertaining or simply finding new experiences near Memphis. The Croft Show combined the discovery of a curated market with the atmosphere of a weekend event, and Mallard’s Croft was the perfect setting for it.
I also love seeing an experience like this created right here in the Mid-South. We are always looking for fun reasons to gather with friends, dress up and try something new without having to plan an entire trip. The Croft Show gave us all of that in one night, and I am already excited to see how it continues to grow.
